So, it seems like that life has its own ways of chalking things out for you. Just when I thought my mine was going down the same old beaten path along came the opportunity to travel for work. And travel where? Vegas!
Haha! Ya, I know all of you would be like “Who works in Vegas?” Seems like a few of us do
Wednesday early morning I got an email confirmation that I was cleared to travel and should get my tickets done. Got them done that evening at around 6pm IST. Got hoteling done on Thursday. Between, whatever of the day (and night) I could salvage I packed, worked in the office, got approvals, filled out loads of forms, shopped some and took care of various things and finally flew out to Delhi on Friday morning to be with the family for a day.
I am glad I got to see everyone at home before flying out. If I have ever had people who have loved me without any rhyme or reason, it is just the three of them.
Saturday night came up soon enough and it was time to get into the cab and get going. My two families; dad, mom and Sneha and Satyam and Ritika came to the airport to bid me farewell.
I flew out at around 4a.m. IST and settled in for a long and tiresome drop off to London.
I will not get into the boring details of the 8-hour layover at Heathrow or how I made it into Vegas, however, the following series of blog posts would be about my life in Vegas. Yes! Everyday life, mundane life, exciting stuff, embracing Vegas, living the way the locals do, earning street cred and all of it. Start, shall we?
great post
